Portraits
My image is different than a simple ID photograph because it uses different lighting techniques rather than just the one set of lights in the room. The lighting techniques I used were getting a white panel to reflect light onto the person being photographed rather than letting it hit the floor. The model gives a mysterious mood in the first and last photograph and a happy/fun mood in the second. The light could be darker in the first and last, and lighter in the second.
Greatest Hits
1) I chose this image because it has a set mood/ tone based on the way it was edited. The image is compositionaly dynamic because it follows the law of thirds, gradually becomes lighter from the left to right, and has a low exposure. The viewer's eye moves from the hair flowing to the face itself. The depth of field
Double Exposure
I selected this image because I liked the way the light streak was arranged. I also liked the roof of the school because I thought the concept of line and shape would go well together in these two photos. The roof picture was also very bare so I felt like it needed something extra to give it a new tone. The mood of this photo is calming. I would like to lower the contrast in the roof of the school to make the light streaks pop even more next time.
Favorite Person, Place, and Thing
I think the photos of my dog and Maine were successful because they were edited very well. The first photo captures the viewers emotions because it shows happiness in the drink she is drinking. The second photo of Mexico shows nature which makes the viewer feel at peace and calm. The third is a picture of my dog that makes people feel happy yet again. If I were to be photographed, I would make sure that I look my best and the lighting captures myself good.
